Periscope problem ?

I may just be missing something but if I remember when you locked onto a target the scope stayed with the target even if you tweaked the course of the sub but in SHV when you "lock" the target the scope spins away from the target if you alter course or whatever.

Anyway this can be moded so the scope stays locked on the target ?

It's just a pain if you are trying to do other things and you have to constantly keep centering the target over and over.
