Anyone getting ctd load failure just now?

8pm EST. Just curious if a server thing or something else. Anyone getting logged in ok, game loads to post-menu save-game load, then after load screens ctd before game finally loads?

Ignore, sorry. Must be corrupted save, it occurred to me to try a mission and that loads fine.

Edit: revived. Dang, exited the mission to go back to main menu, and it dumped out to desktop. Anyone else getting this or similar?

I was getting it 2 hours ago at work, but I assumed it was coz I kept trying to play a test mission I assumed I'd broken. Trying here in a few minutes.

Let us know; I'd like to figure out if it's server or if something messed up on my pc. Happened again 2x. Have tried starting from sh5.exe instead of game updater also in case that was it, also have rebooted a few times in between; same thing.

I've had a couple strange CTDs tonight - haven't had ANY up until these. One happened when I was all lined up on the Ark Royal! It happened when I was going into the attack periscope view.

The next happened when I was all lined up on a tanker and a Hog Island in a covoy! Happened just after I fired torpedoes and was switching from map view to inside the sub view.

Luckily third time was the charm - I reloaded the save and came across that same Ark Royal task force. Got her this time and made sure to save right after.

@mookiemookie. Strange though; you were loaded up and in-game. I'm not finishing the secondary load.

Were you on the Kill Ark Royal mission? When I ran across her in the Plymouth harbor I CTD *FOUR* times, each time when I was going to the attack scope or back from it. Finally gave up on it and restarted my campaign. Wondering if it might have been caused by killing her without being on the mission or something in that harbor or something about killing a ship that's tied to a mission or something.

No, it's end of March 1940 and I'm doing the British Supplies mission in the SW approaches. Just happened to run across the task force and be in a position to get ahead of them and take a shot at her. You could be right since the German Blockade mission is already marked "failed" for me. I didn't want to go chasing the Ark Royal around, wasting time. Figured I'd stick with what I know - sinkin' merchant tonnage

same exact thing happened to me killed the ship wasnt on the mission for had to restart campaign
