I don´t know if that´s what you mean, but you turn the hydrophone with the mouse wheel. You have to point to the turning wheel in the sonar station and then turn the mouse wheel to rotate the hydrophone.

Hope that helps.

Stefan.

The notepad has been broken with the latest patch, it stays blank.
But you can still opearate the sonar. After selecting the Sonar you can rotate the dial using the mouse wheel. You can also change the volume by hovering the mouse over the small knob to the right and using the mousewheel.
You will only hear a ship if there is one to be heard, ie if there is a contact report - this can be seen on the map as a Blue (Warship) or Black (Merchant) line showing the sonar contact.

I noted tonight that my soundman had a contact. I sat down to have a listen for myself.

Well my soundman must have pretty good skillz cause I couldent hear a damn thing.

Oh and another pet peeve that drives me crazy... there is no 'baffles' or excessive noise (from your own engines/props) when passing through 180. SH4 got it right.. why is it broken now

Maybe I dont know how to turn the damn thing on but I tried twisting that knob that says 'volume' but it dident seem to do anything.

Am I missing something?

Funny thing is SW I get all kinds of noise on the hydrophone. I have to shut down the e-motors to listen. Furthermore, my sonar man is deaf as they come. He hears nothing!

The hydrophone has a bug right now. you need to have the engines shut off to hear anything yourself. Right now, the engine noise drowns everything out in every direction.
