Hello all!
I decided to combine 'hello post' and my first question to one post to save your time. ![]() I'm 20+ year old simulator fan from Finland. My first subsim was Silent Hunter II and recently I have concentrated to SHIV. I missed SHIII because at the time I didn't have good enough computer to ran it and now its not available anymore. ![]() So looks like its time to move on to SHV but before that I have one important question/request for you. I have eye disease which lowers capability to distinguish colours from each other. For example I have troubles in seeing white from quite light background and black from dark grey backround. Could someone please provide few screenshots from SHV map - preferably with some lines drawn - so I could see whether or not I can play it? Thanks in advance! ![]() Btw you can call me Tim. kraznyi_oktjabr is reference to Tom Clancy's book Hunt for Red October. |

You should find screenshots of maps in this link :-
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=162521 The maps are easier to see in SH5, than any previous Silent Hunter games.

Hello and welcome
![]() Here's a quick screenshot I just took, think it's what you're looking for. edit: hmm, the jpg compression makes it a little less clear than it is in the game. Hold on and I'll upload in a different format. edit2: here we go, this is more representative: http://i50.tinypic.com/6gad83.png |

SHIII is available on steam if you really want it. A modded SHV will probably surpass it though, given time.

Thank you very much gentlemen!
Looks much better for me than SHIV map. ![]() I'm going to try SHIII + GWX while waiting pay day... then to SHV. Thanks a lot! Tim |
