Default stop whining !! Now !!

Stop whining and be negative about sh5.

Compared with sh3 and sh4 when these sims came out this is the most
beautiful game. Okay things will be modded.

I will surely buy sh5, that`s for sure.

Agreed, feeling sad about how negative the game is sounding, based purely on one thing.

I have been reading and posting on these forums a lot lately. And I still get amazed on what some people are whining about. It is just unbelievable.

The stuff we have seen so far is all from a beta version of the game. Given that the whole development time was less than a year (was posted by someone else), logic implies that the preview stuff we could see was at best 3/4 of the finished game.

The only reasonable whining here should IMHO be about DRM/OSP. Unless it provide us with some internet connection slack (like in Neal's last video) then it will undoubtedly affect the game sales and reviews.
Speculations about unfinished product are based on previous titles, and I agree that certain dose of uncertainty lies here.

Save your nerves for the final version, that is all I have to say.

Count me in on this band wagon!!

God. I am amazed how so few learn from history.

Sh3 was great, but also a dog. Then the modders improved.

SH4 was still borne, lets be honest, UBI dropped the ball on that one, but over time it became good, but still had hard coded bugs that worked against it.

Sh5? Only time will tell, but what I have seen I am impressed. I only hope that stupid DRM bull crap is modded out by UBI. There is no reason to have this thing on it after the first couple of months.

I don't think most of us are conserned about the game it self. Most of us are conserned about the OSP. The game looks great to me. To bad i'm not going to buy it..

Too many DRM threads and too many "Don't whine" "shut the &&** up" threads...
just as useless...

I'm not aware of anyone whining about the game? Now Ubisoft's new Digital Rights Management System UPlay is a different matter.

Tdk, look closer, there have been nothing but gripes about the game from certain members here whom I shall not name.

gripes about the "eye candy" or the "RPG" aspect of the game, and how the flooding is not realistic, and other naysaying.

It has been really disappointing to say the least seeing how quickly some here have turned on the devs and SH in general.

I would rather pay modders for modded SHV then to Ubi for arcade uboat shooter.

The title of this thread turned me off .

THIS is the kinda thing that helps lose support.

When you label other members " Whiners " for having an opinion.

Do you wonder why they don't support your opinion ? Ya Think !

Then I would be right there with you, pythos. My respect for the Devs hasn't changed at all. My only issue is with UPlay.

Once Ubisoft made a business decision to target this game at the casual gamers, the Devs had to build a game that facilitated that decision. But looking at the previews of the game, and the stated realism options within it, also the statements from the Devs about how modable it is, then the only problem I forsee for those who are Ok with UPlay is how to attract modders to the game.

JSCONES isn't going anywhere near this game unless or until it becomes available as an offline game that is compatible with his software. That means no JSGME for Silent Hunter 5. That in itself is huge.

A few of the more experienced modders I've spoken with are holding a 'wait and see' view with Silent Hunter 5. They are not confident about getting involved with it at all.

I think the first year for this game will be really tough.

Sounds like people who voice a critic or disapointment are sinners.

I also find that one should avoid to repeat 10x the same thing, whatever that thing is. One thread and one debate is enough.
But calling all people voicing a critic whiners, pretending that "whiners" show disrespect to the devs is not better.

So, what piri_reis said.
