Default Installation!

TO ALL:

I wanted to ask INSTALLATION? WINDOWS 7 just let it install where it wants to or should I create its own folder as I did in 1.4 installation?

Next is there a different installation for the JGSME? just drop the JGSME.exe file in the same file with the game SH5.exe file correct?

Thanks,

i dont know about sh5 but i am finding windows 7 is installing my other games without needing to be redirected and putting them in the main directory and not in programs so i take this to mean it doesnt have the same issues that vista had with games

I don't know for sure but I did create SH5's own folder and placed it there, Windows didn't do that. I followed the directions I remembered and worked from 1.4. Without the seperate directory in Window 7 I couldnt run the mods correctly.

^^

One more good reason I'm hanging on to XP. So far none of the newer PC games are stopping you from using XP ( at least if you have PCIe ). At least none that I know of,but knowing of ole Bill and his wrangler's that will probably come to a cease soon also.

OK, Installed JGSME just like it was supposed to be installed. The files are where they need to be the mods folder is in place labeled what I wanted to label it. I activate the mods, but nothing happens. It worked for wolves of the pacific but it is not working for SH5.

Just a quick gripe-why couldn't they accuratly model the guages to be realistic. I am not minimalistic, I am historic and their guages and buttons are not historic.

GRAPHICS are awesome, but its difficult to play. I am sure with time and constant playing as well as something better than keystrokes for all actions it will be better. Till I figure out the mod enabler I am going back to SH IV where my mod enabler works. Problem is UBI already has my money and to return it for a refund is a pain in the buttocks.
