Has anyone else had problems with them? The TASM and Harpoon missiles from the Seawolf get fired, make it just above the water's surface, then fail and float back down. It's happened 6 times, and I've tried them at shallow depth and periscope depth, and they just keep failing.

Yes, you have to be at less than 150 feet and less than 6 knots for them to launch properly.

I think I remember such problem. I'm not sure what it was caused by though.
Try to turn currents and wind too, they work weird anyway.

Definetely get 1.04, it fixes some major issues with the game, although I don't ever remember that happening to me when I was on 1.00. Also try what Dr. Sid said about disabling currents/wind.

That does sound like a FAIL moment
But it does sound like a launch out of normal operating parameters - this game does have some funny bugs (which I'll post in another thread).
