Sh3 key code & running game with cd

I have SH3 and I've just reinstalled it. I seem to remember that you could run the game without the CD after you entered the Key Code. When I reinstalled it autorun did not kick in so I installed it manually. When I start the game it runs fine but I was nevery prompted for the Key Code and I can only run the game with the CD in the drvie.

Q: is there any way to play the game without having the CD all the time?

Q: I also installed Game Shadow at the same time. When it went to look for udates I go an message that it encountered a problem and try again. I did with the same results. Is Game Shadow necessary in order to run/play SH3?

Any help/suggestions appreciated. If this problem has been posted before I apologize and ask to be pointed in the right direction.

Matter solved, I'm closing this thread as SH3 does not support at all game cracks. UBI has been releasing some versions of SH3 without starforce and there has been a semi-official acceptance of the no-CD, but I prefer that this gets discussed per Pm and no links to webs that host this stuff are posted here.
