I'm playing GWX 3.0
I noticed that my VIIC could travel 25 000 km at 9 knots. Is that realistic?

What are you basing the above figure on?

according to uboat.net the VIIC should be able to go 8500 miles or 13679 km at 10 kts surfaced

In GWX3 ranges are modified accordingly to match with the map projection type and the number of kilometers per degree of latitude/longitude. Have a look at p50 of the GWX Manual that you'll find in Documentation folder (into SH3 main folder) for further infos.
![]() So.. it's not realistic, but the SH3 world distances are not relistic too! |

Those figures do look like a statute-mile/km conversion. Doesn't make sense. But iirc Silent Hunter also had a statute mile legend on the map. It really makes me wonder sometimes what went around in (those) developers heads when they were making a nautical simulator.
