Crewmen die without any reason?

Hi!

on my recent patrol, I was horribly DC'ed. Somehow I got away, with several crewmen killed and injured during the attack. Now I'm trying to limb away, but the rest of my crew is affected somehow as well. They become injured, then die. For no apparent reason. The boat is badly damaged, yes, but they shouldn't die, they just shouldn't!

Do I have to repair the boat completly to stop this? Would rather not, because the DDs are still out there and have just stopped searching for me...
