Man Loses $500,000 Lottery Ticket

Tolentino is behind on his mortgage. His maintenance payments are past due. Medical bills are mounting.

His $500,000 scratch-off ticket would have solved all his problems. But as fast and easy as it came, it was gone, and he is in mourning.

"They're gonna see what they can do," he said Monday, his voice shaky. He said he was too distraught to say any more.

I feel for the guy ... I really do.

But let me ask a silly question - what the HELL is a guy so far behind on his bills playing the lottery for, especially considering that it was far more likely that he would NOT have won a thing in the first place?

I gotta say - no wonder he's broke. And I'm not surprised that he lost the ticket.
