Patching Problems
I bought SH III around a year ago and didn't really play to much. Now I am wanting to play and the game won't let me patch. I get an error when trying to install either the download patches or the dvd patches.
"This Program cannot update because C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\de_menu.tx t:unknown version" This is the 1.4 patch. I don't have any earlier patches installed and no mods. I also tried to install patch 1.1 and go from there but no dice. Can anyone help me I just want to sink some ships

I would uninstall and reinstall, that, and I always seemed to have the patch that was a little moody and locked up at 92%. so, uninstall the game, Reinstall it, your key should still be working. run the patch without touching a thing. cross your fingers and hope it works
