error code 1275

Hello all,

I suppose this error looks familiar.

My laptop came with vista basic installed (yes, I know) and when I install my beloved SH lll I get the 'error code 1275' and 'driver blocked due to incombatibility' and 'starforce needs a patch'.

Any solutions please?

Burn the disc to make sure Starforce is gone for good (i did it, and it feels great) and buy the game again from Steam.

Did you mean the codecs post? I disabled the mentioned ones, but I still get the same problem.

Is there a patch for this error?
