Steve, what scale are those? What game is that for?
I've been trying to get my kid into Wings of War (something other than computer games) I've got a bunch of their minitures. They are 1/144 scale.

The models are all 1/72. Some are from standard kits, some are vacuform models, and some are scratchbuilds.
The game is Canvas Falcons (formerly Triplane), designed several decades ago by my friends Doug Larson and Rocky Russo. It's a variant of Mustangs & Messerschmitts, which should give you an idea of how old the original design is. There are versions for every period of air combat, and it's played by mounting models on three-wheeled trolleys. The fun part is that there are no 'defined' maneuvers like the ones you get with boardgames. Every maneuver is flown manually. This makes it slow, but ultimately rewarding. This picture gives a good idea of how it works. The stand at the bottom is mine. This also is now special to me, as the legs on the right side belong to Rocky, who passed away on New Year's Day. ![]() Excitement in the air. ![]() Me and my eindekker. ![]() Hawker and The Baron. ![]() And a sight no Allied pilot wants to see. ![]()

COOL!
![]() Cool that it's still around, if somewhat tattered, and cool that you got pictures. Of course the engine is totally wrong, not being a rotary, but we take what we can get. ![]()
