Default [REQ] Captians Office Radio

Is it possible for someone to make a mod that would put a working radio in your Captian's Office at port. Maybe add a button to the "radio" that brings up game options.

I would love listen to the radio while is was filing patrol reports with CINCPAC, reviewing crew rosters, and attending to the boats refit.

I tried to do it myself. Everything seemed to be fine, until I realized that I dont know how to mod!

I don't know about editing the radio already in the office, but maybe the desk photo could be set to bring up the radio from the game?? If no one else wants to try it now, I might try it in a few weeks. I have to finish the radio station I'm working on now and do a few other things afterwards.

Thanks fred.
If you could point me to the files for the radio thats currently in game, I would love to tinker some, just to see if I could figure out how to do it.

To edit the desk photo, you need to open the CaptainRoom.sim file in Data\Interior\CaptainRoom. You'll need the Silent 3ditor to edit it. The line you need to edit is #25, which is found inside #24.

After posting, I got to thinking more and more about it, so I tried myself to see what it would do. It doesn't work. Nothing I tried would get the radio to come up. I even tried having it just play the gramophone, and that wouldn't work. Bear in mind I'm nowhere near knowing exactly what I'm doing on this, so it's possible I wasn't doing something right. But it appears it may not work.
