Cannot load patrol

Hello everyone.

I seem to have some trouble with my career. When I start loading a patrol the game stops after 20 percent or so. If I try to load a save where I am in port, no problem, and I can change crew and weapons etc. , but as soon as I go into mission it freezes. Same if I load an "in mission" save, freezing.....
It seems I had enough computerskills to install the game and GWX, but there were some moments of panic...
Anyway, is this something that is a known problem, or is it simply to try to reinstall?

Are you running vista or xp

When you installed it did you put it in c/program files

No its not in C/program files. Think I made a separate folder, following instructions in the manual. Checking now, D/Silent hunter... But it has been running allright for over two months, and single missions work fine. And I have tried to avoid saving submerged and close to others, ´generally following guidelines on the forum. Maybe this laptop has seen its better days.
