First conservatives said the stimulus wouldn't create jobs, now they are saying it will create lots of jobs that go to illegals?

On a more serious note, the lack of an E-Verify provision is a failure both parties can be proud of.

Well there is that small misperception as the basis of the article. Thanks for pointing that out. There 'new job' estimate is a bit... optimistic.

Tactics you Dems have been practicing for the past 8 years. Don't cry those crocodile tears just because the shoe is on the other foot now.

No tears, old man. And I'm glad to see your "I know you are, but what am I" tactics remain prominent.

Believe it or not, we're not that stupid. The fear is that the stimulus will not help to replace the total number and purchasing parity per capita of lost jobs due to economic instability, something we feel this bill will exacerbate. There is still going to be a net loss of jobs.
The sheer amount of spending in this one bill and the expansion of the Federal budget that it will create will likely lead to stagflation and even worse problems down the road. Every time we've tried this general approach, that's what happened.

So what really makes it funny is that this is just one more thing the stimulus bill and the Administration has done wrong, but you seem to think it is egg on our faces somehow.

Last I heard the illegals were going back to Mexico. There are just no jobs here.

That part. You're using it out of the context of the conservative argument. I just explained that.

I apologize if I insulted you. It's just kind of a fun name stemming to the seemingly endless "get off my lawn" grumpiness I feel you express towards me. In reality, I haven't a clue how old you are.

Quiet irony hiding around this thread, Enigma's avatar is currently the old man as well.
