Hello moders.
If I'm posting in the wrong forum, pls excuse me. I am not a moder, but need your help. I am missing the mechanical clicking sound when turning the periscope (left&right). It disappeard a while ago, maybe in process of mods re/installs... I did a search here, but found no answer. Here is what I am running today. Pls find a moment to help. I would like to have it back... Thank you! One of ur mods disabled it, look for Data > Menu > Cfg > Dials.cfg
Compare it to the original file an u could find were it's changed It might be this: Original Dials.cfg entry [Dial45] Name=PositionKeeper_Down_Bearing Type=24; DIAL_SOL_BEARING ;Cmd=Set_TDC_bearing Dial=0x0 CrtVal=0x42180002 NewVal=0x0 DialVal=0,360 RealVal=360,0; degrees Circular=Yes CmdOnDrag=Yes SndStep=5 SndList=1,Menu.TDC.Bearing,360 |

quickest way is uninstaal one mod then check, do this untill you find it works and there is the conflict.
open that mod, see what files it changes then you should be able to guess which file it is. remove that file from the mod then try the mod. if it clicks then you know the file causing it, then you just need to open that file and see what was changed. doing this you should come accross something that makes sense it would effect the clicking. you get the idea and can see where im going, it all comes down to trial and error. once you know the very detail that changes it you can "fix" the mod so it no longer changes it by changing the entry in the file or if not needed you could leave that file out of the mod. |

It's the "SndStep=5" line if i recall correctly. If not that line by itself, its both of these:
SndStep=5 SndList=1,Menu.TDC.Bearing,360 I recall remarking those out in the dials.cfg. The sndstep, im pretty sure means "make a click in 5 degree increments" since the orginal bearing indicator was in 5 dgree increments. Set that to 1, and im pretty sure you'll have a whole lot of clicking going on. |

The problem was that TDC_AngleOnBow.wav was empty (4K). When replaced the wav file all worked.
Thanks to all |
