Default Grid V latitude and longitude

First I will say that I have been making a search on this subject, but havent found what I was looking for

Is there a way to change from grid to Longitude/Latitude(like you could in SHII)?

Regards
Markus

Does this suffice?

http://www.ubootwaffe.net/quadrant.cgi

A degree in lattitude and longitude is both 120km on the map. You'll have to measure from the Greenwich meridian and the equator.

Thank you for the finding

It was more like a mod I was thinking of. So you can either choose grid or latitude/longitude, not both

But this page(you have shown me) will do very fine indeed.

In the past couple of years, several people have looked into this, and have tried to come up with navigation mods. Do a search of Subsim and you will find a lot of information.
If I remember correctly, one of the major problems deals with the fact that the maps in SH3 are not to scale; so a mod correct at one latitude in incorrect at another.
There is a pretty good navigation mod, however.

Doesn't have the in-game map correct latitude / longitude scales on almost every zoom level? I thought so, the only thing is that it's not a grid across the map and the black and white scales on the map edges are not numbered (you have to count them manually).

I'm currently sailing on manual navigation in an "out of Kriegsmarine-grid" area (Artic Ocean, SH3 grids ends little north of Norway) and even though it's a bit tricky, I can plot my way by using longitude / latitude.

Cheers,
AndyW

No the SH3 world is flat and doesnt take into account the earths curve
The SH3 world map is bigger than in RL because of that

I don't quite understand. The SH3 map is a Mercator map, isn't it? Iceland is almost as large on the map as Ireland, which isn't true but the result of the increasing projection scale of the longitude towards the poles.

Cheers,
AndyW
