Uploading my 2 years SH3 "archives" ? Anybody interrested ?

Seid gegrusst (U-)Genossen !! :p

Time for a small payback after 2 years of collecting and archiving all sorts of docs and sites ? May be, you tell me... It's mostly yours anyway...
I just finished sifting through all the 403 pages of the SH3 Forum,
plus a good many of the most recent on the SH3 Workshop.
In the process I have bookmarked a few among the 16.081 + threads that seemed the most important or relevant in regards to the technicity of the game.
Now, my C:...\Favorites\Submarines & SH3 ( i.e. My Archives after 2 years ) has risen to 4.46 GB in 626 Folders and 4593 files... :rotfl:
The most voluminous part are pdf - xls - txt - jpg - wav - mis - wmv - html files, the web sites accounting for little.
I have already truncated and stored them for myself ( just in case ) into the following main zips : ( Sub Folders not listed for the sake of room on this page )

1-BOOKS & ARTICLES 444,730 KB
2-CALCULATORS 5,166
3-GENERAL ON SHIPS & SUBS 80,713
4-GOOGLE SEARCH PAGES 11
5-HUMOUR 68
6-LINKS 4
7-MISSIONS 1
8-MODS 224,935
9-PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE 5,627
10-SH3 SITES REVIEWS & FORUMS 545
11-SH3 MANUALS-DOCS-MAPS-TABLES 271,060
12-SH3 TECHNICAL SUBJECTS 645,698
13-SOUNDS 9
14-UNIFORMS-DECORATIONS & WW2 ITEMS 4
15-VARIOUS 31176
16-VIDEOS - PICTURES & PHOTOS 1,634,180
17-WEAPONS ACTIVE & PASSIVE 5
---------------
( 3,34 GB ) 3,343,932 KB

Now, 3 questions :

1 ) If you're afraid of the size, there are 17 Zip files for you to DL it more easily, but you can always, of course throw overboard what you don't need or already have after DL. I think it's better that you download them all at the end because in a way they are all connected and cross-referenced.
So, I'm asking you lound and clear :

IS ANYBODY INTERRESTED ?

2)I f a f f i r m a t i v e , can somebody explain to me how to upload them to
Filefront, cause it's the first time I'm doing this ?.....and don't have a b****y clue.
The links would be on this same thread. This thread might get a bit old in the meantime cause I still have a few things to polish off.

3) would the size of a few files be a problem with Filefront ?

4) Any legal issue that you can see...? ( Material is coming from you all and everywhere else ).
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks. Bump to all. Servus und fette Beute. JMV

Absolutely interested!!! Especially in any pictures. There is never enough reference pictures. Filefront is very self explanatory and I believe that in their FAQ they actually state the files/sizes limitations.
If you have any specific problems with Filefront hit me up on PM I'll be glad to help.

I'm always interested in undiscovered or new SH3 files and documents!

Just keep in mind that FileFront limits your file sizes to 1GB and you must be able to upload the file in 10 hours or less. You may have to use a smaller size file to meet that 10-hour limit.

Looking forward to rummaging through your gift and seeing what gems I find amidst this treasure trove.

JVM

If you can keep individual files under 100mb then this free file sharing site is incredibly handy and very fast for uploads and downloads.
Check it out at http://drop.io/ . You can have an almost unlimited number of 100mb drops. They will keep the files for up to one year.

If you like the service they have other options you can pay for.

cheers

@Conus00

Loads'n load of picts I have stored ! You'd be amazed. From the fav. picture threads, to dedicated picture web sites.But much more in other folders...

@Myxale

Roger. Thanks for your support.:p

@evan82

No Pwobwlem ! Got all da time in the world. Spent about 12 hours per day on subsim.com forums for the last 3 months. Got to play the game one day again soon I guess, not to get the sub rusted too much.

@Firewall

Gotcha mate. Thanks for support.:p

@graf paper

Do you mean 1 GB in total or 1 GB per Zip file ? If per Zip file, then I will cut the
16-VIDEOS - PICTURES & PHOTOS 1,634,180 KB (which is the biggest) in 2.
10 hours should be no problem as the biggest is number 16 ( above ), or will split it further.
Should be OK for Xmas gift to you all...

@UberTorpedo
Thanks, will have a look, but if it's ok with Filefront I would rather do it there, because it's where most of us upload. Is really 100 Mb the upward limit ? What I need to know is the max. upload size with Filefront PER Zip file.

@Medusa
Roger. Thanks for your support.:p

@bbw
You're saying 1 GB per "customer" not per Zip file ? Yes ??

Downloading as a torrent file is an alternative method, file size wouldn't be such a problem + the file would be auto-checked for errors.

@Hallo Herr Ober"jaeger"meister ! :p
Thanks for your support. Yes it's hard work, but I suppose
modding need even more knowledge and dedication... Wish I
could... Only thing I know, in my case you've got to be pretty
tidy.

@badwolf
OK thank you for that.

@Now for everybody,
You have the sizes if the different folders in my first post.
For Filefront :

1) Is it ok like this for a total of 3,34 GB per "customer",
( i.e. what is the absolute upward limit per person ?) or/and

2) Do I have to split them further, especially number 16, which
is the biggest one ? ( i.e. what is the upward limit per file ? )
I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT UPLOADING, SO I PROBABLY
LOOK A BIT "THICK" FOR SOME OF YOU. Please be
patient.
