Yes the pic sends a shiver down my backbone to, it is our old instincts making a report that they are still there and don't care for homo sapiens now living in the 21st century. Imagone an interstellar race of high intelligence landing in an UFO and get out, and we see they are giant, aggressively yellow and red striped spiders who look at us on our own eye level whehn talking to us. Would we have any chance not to cause an interstellar war during our first meeting with this alien race?

BTW, the golden orb weaver is not lethal when it bites you, but there is no antidot to the poison, so the skin and flesh around the bite dies off and leaves a huge, visible scar.
