Help with Map Modification...

What I'm trying to do is add the night filter back to the OLC GUI Special Mod. I managed to get the dark tones removed from the map, but now when it is night on my nav map, I just get a corner (where the moon icon was in the original mod) of the map shaded red. I looked in the maps.cfg file to resize the texture but saw no refrences in the file.

Here's a picture

Also was there a night filter on the attack map with the mod as it was, its been 2-3 months since I've played Sh3..

Anyone have some advice??

Edit: In case there is any questions, these modifications are just to suit my own taste, not to be re-released in any way shape or form.

The size of the night filter texture on the nav map can be modified by editing the appropriate entry in menu_1024_768.ini. Search that file for the name of the TGA image.

IIRC, there has never been a night filter on the attack map in any version of SH3.

P.S. You can release it if you want - doesn't bother me.

Appreciate the help OLC, and if anyone expresses interest I would have no problem releasing it.

So, I've tried editing the menu.ini file back to both what it says for night filter before enabling the OLC GUI, and now I don't have any kind of Night filter, not even the small corner as in the picture above.

Edit: Had an "o" instead of "0" in the position indicator.....

Hello,

I was just looking for information on how to change just that in OLC Special and I found your topic, therefore I would be interested in getting your map night filter mod. Could you put some link to download, if possible?

Thank you.

PS I was wondering which was exactly the problem with the night filter in the attack scope view too. I wonder if it is so awful that I could not live with it (I liked very much the change of mood that the red light gave).
