Disappearing ships

On a recent encounter w/ a Nipponese task force near Rabaul (4 carriers, 2 hvy cruisers, 2 seaplane tenders and asst. escorts), the entire task force vanished in the middle of the game play. One second they are there, the next they are gone. No radar or sonar contacts, nothing. I did get credit for sinking a "Shokaku" and an "Akizuki". But the rest of the task force just disappeared.

Anyone else experience same? Strange, I didn't think I was near the Bermuda Triangle. You can read the entire account of the encounter in the patrol log thread.
