Default Odd place to find a ship

So I decided to start a new career, and on my first patrol after performing my assogned mission I decide to take a look into Loch Ewe in my Type IIA. I sneak to within a few kilometers of the base and decide to cheat and use the external view to check out some flames near the town. Only the flames were coming from a ship that was sitting well inside the town on top of a few buildings.

I would have taken some pictures, but a V&W destroyer started depth-charging me. I was at PD and the depth of the water was only 13 metres, so I ordered 12 metres and hoped for the best. Well one Depth charge went in the water near my stern and blew, and the stern of my boat came out of the water as the bow hit the bottom. Well I'd had enough of that and ordered hard to port and the V&W obligingly came across my bow at 400 metres and was put down by a torpedo.

Interestingly another destroyer was sunk at a pier there.

That was a good patrol, though that a C2 cargo took 3 torps to put to the bottom - I put two into her but she simply refused to sink even though she was at a 60 degree angle to the water and at times part of her bridge was beneath the waves, forcing me to deliver a coup de grace.

To take pictures in that situation, pause the game. External view will let you zoom around while the game is paused.

Oh, did I say WELCOME ABOARD?

The C-2 is indeed a tough little ship to sink by torps. Sometime it comes to my mind that it has easy to be sealed compartments like in our days. I now hit those boogies in the tailsection approx. 10m from the rudder. I no longer have to wait 2+hrs for its destruction or sacrify more eals in extream cases.

Welcome aboard!

You do get the occasional thing whith a ship sunk or blended into a pier if you saved too near a port and then reload at a later stage.

Good luck and good hunting!
