I keep getting duds on a T3 tanker with my D2. Just simple 90 degree shots. I'm still playing with updates so I can see my torps hitting the tanker. I just keep getting duds
from the last 10 fired at a T3 only 2 did their job. Am playing vanilla 1.5 |

Hmm, I have only recently started playing SH4 with Uboat expansion but have sunk 4 t3's in my first patrol
didn't have any duds, fired 2 eels per ship, 1 magnetic, depth 11.8 meters or so aimed just in front of the engines, 1 impact, 4 meters aimed just before the bridge... I only needed a 3rd eel for 1 of them... this is just what I've found out in 1 patrol ![]() ![]() |

German magnetic detonators are much more reliable than the American ones. I use magnetic all the time; all the torpedoes, if they use contact, will get a dud if the angle of incidence when it hits the ship is less than 50 degrees.
