Thanks in advance for any help.
I installed GWX 2.1 some time ago but I have encountered problems that I did not with 2.0 Namely, half my function-key hotkeys don't work (basically F1 and F6-12) In addition, I get a black screen accompanied by sound stutter at random times. Usually it results in a CTD, but sometimes, it just starts working again. I'm running Vista on an IMac with a 2.66 GHz intel Core-duo processeor, 2GB RAM, and a ATI Radeon 2600 hd pro 256mb graphics card. I can't seem to find any common causation in-game, which makes me think it may be a Windows thing. I have tried disconnecting from the internet, turning auto-updates off, disabling my virus protection and spybot, as well as getting the latest video and sound drivers. The problem doesn't make the game unplayable, but it means I have to save a lot just in case I get CTD and it is annoying to have to use the mouse to select different compartments all the time. Any thoughts or similar problems?

Looks like a reset and recovery of the gfxcard. The weird sound indicates to me that there is sth wrong with the onboard soundchip (which i assume ure using) switching to gwx 2.1. I had this when a lightning struck down just outside my place, went through the phone line and kocked out my onboard LAN chip and slighly damaged the soundchip as well which resulted in an unstable performance of the gfxcard. afaik the game doesnt work without a compartible soundchip/-card. If u have an old soundcard flying around plug it in and see if the black screen is gone.
The utility setkeys 1.3 might help u temporarly to fix the fkey prob. |

Thx for tips. Soundcard seems to be compatible from what I can tell and it did work consistently with 2.0
But, now that I think about it, I installed 2.1 just shortly before some big storms here where we lost power. Man I really hope thats not the problem. Can I pm you at a later date if I need a little more help?
