It's on the news right now. A lot of the injuries are serious, or at least they are according to the officials. Death toll might get higher before the day is out. This is one of the bigger recent bombings that has gone on.

I wonder if the vehicles were the intended target or whether the attackers used the vehicles entering the compound (and I assume lowering or removing any barriers) as a way of entering the compound.

The article is not clear on this.
