By any chance do you have SH3Commander active? Cuz it has an option to hide the Hull %!:hmm:

GWX by default hides the hull damage part. SH3 commander has an option to make it visible.

Default if you dont use sh3 commander....

you can edit your en_menu.txt file found in the /menu folder. find line 589

change it to this:

589=HULL INTEGRITY %s %

your hull damage will appear on the damage screen.

Why would you want to see your hull integrity ? Enjoy the fun of guessing it by looking at the huge gaping holes in the sides of your sub like I do !

There's nothing like limping into port with the boat looking like a piece of crumpled tin foil and saving your career in SH3 Commander and then seeing that your Hull Integrity was down to 5% !!

Hull integrity makes no difference for my, coz of the mods I use. Its ridiculous, the uboat is sailing perfectly fine, all crew alive and breathing, while the sudden you kit a dolphin and you die, coz the hull % was already down to 1%.

On my mod, the hull integrity doesnt matter, the equipment inside gets damaged/destroyed, the crew might die or you might implode due to pressure, but no deathscreen on the surface just coz you beached your uboat. Lets say, its a lot more realistic than the normal sh3.

Of course, you do something to break another. But you people should try.

I use hull-% as a virtual crew report since there are no reporting in of ships state in game.

This mod. I recommend you reading from the first to the last post very carefully, there's a lot of things there you should know.

If you have any problems with the download, pm me.

In my opinion this was one of the most effective mods ever produced, very simple idea but the gaming experience improved ten fold.

The ability to not know how your haul is holding up I think is critical in your decision making process in the game, when do you withdraw ? more so; after being in heavy depth-charge contact with the enemy.
