Default GWX + SH3 Commander patrol start date question

I have GWX with Commander plus bunch of other mods installed. In my Commander I set my time spent in base to 50 days. What I notice is that the 50 days don't pass unless I start a patrol. I was wondering if this was normal or not. Because if I remember correctly in the original game the days spent in the base passes as soon as you return from your patrol. It may not seem like much of a deal, but sometimes you just want the new boats or upgrades on time. Same goes for news/briefing on loading screen as you start your mission.

Ah, if only one could move time as easily in RL. :rotfl:

The behaviour is normal. Once you dock, your date will only progress as a result of necessary repairs. You're not suddenly "teleported" to the new date ready to grab the latest fineries (and thus stay in port even longer getting them installed). It just didn't happen that way.

This is the behaviour whether you are using SH3Cmdr or not (all SH3Cmdr does is allow you to more easily edit the default value).

NB: If you are running SH3Cmdr it makes changes based on the anticipated next patrol start date, so it will always provide data relevant to your next patrol.
