Default Watch on deck mod ?'s

Ive noticed that where you put the crew on deck in the crew managment screen determines where they stand on deck.

Does the code take into account which crew member is standing where on the deck?
Or if the deckwatch is taken into account as a "whole" when it come to spotting contacts?

Does anyone know if its possible to add more crew to the deck watch?

Would it make a difference?

since The watch officer is the only one that looks in a 360 fov is it possible, and would it make a difference, to put him in the middle of deck watch?

and... is it possible to add a extra officer's bunk so that 3 could be at rest?

The code does account for the position of the individual crew members in the sense that the voice of the person announcing ship spotted is different depending on which quadrant the sighting is in. I have not verified whether having a watch-qualified warrant officer in a particular position only increases the detection probability for his assigned quadrant or whether the performance associated with the green bar applies to all four quadrants regardless of where the watch-qualified people are standing. I tend to put watch-qualified people where I am expecting a contact, but I have no evidence to support doing so.

Not sure. You would have to change quite a bit in terms of crew management, sensors and such. More work than I'm interested in. Spacially, it's crowded as it is already.

The periscope may be in the way depending on the model of the boat, and I don't see how that would improve his view. He's going to have to crane his neck around the heads of the other watch crew members regardless of where he stands.

Not sure. I wouldn't know how to integrate the code into the crew management screen and fatigue model.
