Again!

In Britain, 2008 begins like 2007 has ended: with a new data scandal.

A British person - always be aware of PC when talking about Britain, mind you - has lost his laptop - with 600.000 files of personal data regarding military members.

It's the same Britain that wants to replace census with a a longitudinal study that even includes samples of genetic material while saying at the same time the data would be "safe". http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=129140

"Storing sensitive data en masse and make people trasparent to the state is safe." - Yeah, sure. So far, British data scandals were accidents caused by mindless "persons". Just wait until criminal energy sets into the business. Such files are pure money.
