Default Homer ? (torp)

Is their a mod for the use of a homing torp as in SHIII ? I have been looking for one but have been unable to locate. It seem the only homer we had was a very small & very slow one for use against SUBS. When I play SHIII my favorite tactic is to take out the escorts first then deck gun most of the merchants. This can be a bit unsettling if there is an aux. cruiser in the mix, also after the mercants became armed. Not a lot of fire power on a merc. but sometimes even an "uber" can get into trouble if not carful. Its not so simple when you dont have the "homers". I have had several patrols over 200,000 (twice over 300,000) this way, but not very challenging except whem you start counting every round of 20mm & 37mm ammo to try to get just one more. Its nice to have the option but not to use all the time. Well I have been up for about 35 hours so I better get to bed this is hard on an old (58) man. Nite all & THANK YOU for a place to go for help & extras..

There is a 'Cutie' in the game. It is small like they were. I have not used them yet but they do home in on the prop noises. I have seen some mixed reviews on it. The Cutie was not available until the late years of the war and I have not gone that far.

Yes it was a very small anti-sub torp with something like 4k range & a VERY slow 12 knot speed. I forget the mk number. Could be defeated by hi speed run if launched to far away or by going DEEP.

MK 27 torpedo. High speed certainly would keep it off your tail. It was electric and the DD would not see it. DD would also slow down to listen etc. This is were it make the hit. I recall in SH3 playing with one. It was following the DD for quite sometime. It was quite comical after a while. The warship finally slowed down and it hit the prop.
