Trigger Maru, RFB, and auto TDC targeting

Folks,

Longtime player of SH1 & SH2. New to SH4, but, having lots of fun. I'm considering installing the Trigger Maru or RFB mods. My question is can I still use the auto (casual) TDC targeting with either of these mods ? As I get a little better, I'll take the plunge with manual TDC targeting. Secondly, I have a saved career. Do I have to delete it before installing either of the mods ?

Yes and no, but you would no longer be able to use the career unless you saved the game in port or if you have a savegame entering or leaving port. Since both RFB and TM make the game more difficult, why not learn the game with no mods on auto targeting mode? So long as you save the career in port you can install whatever you want and continue the career.

I'll bet that when you start manual targeting you'll want to start a new career for that anyway.
