Default GWX Developmental Sneak Peak IV - Shipping

We apologize for the lagtime in updates... behind the scenes we've been furiously hammering and welding without stop. It is only because of the pace of development that we haven't been able to speak much about what has been happening.
Without giving away too much maybe show the Sperrbrecher\Small Vorpostenboot\GRA
We intend to leave you plenty left to discover... So showing all of it would be a mistake.
The following shows just a bit of what you can expect to see in GWX 1.04 when released.
Gerome's Cruisers

Gerome's Lutzow

TYPE XIV Milk Cow Resupply U-boat. (By JU88, Ref, and Ichneumon)
For the life of me... I can't find the udders on this thing. (Yes it is operational.)

LCVP (aka Higgins Boat- Purpose built for GWX by Ichneumon, Privateer, and Ref)

Sperrbrecher (Purpose-built for GWX by Ichneumon, Privateer, and Ref)

Now a special note and special thanks go to AG124 here. It seems to me that warships are much easier to come by than are merchants. AG124 has been quite a trooper building some of the new merchants in GWX to specific low-tonnage requirements to assist in the overall simulation experience. By building merchants to specific weights and sizes... it allows us to produce patrols sailed on upper realism levels to yield more realistic tonnage hauls. Since GWX 1.0 we've done what we could to make lower tonnage ships much more common in convoy composition. Hopefully, in so doing, we've given player awards a bit more meaning as
a little more work must be done to acquire them.

On a sad note, in the last two months, while two among our number have narrowly dodged the same bullet... about two days ago AG124's home was virtually destroyed by flooding. I'm sure that you've all heard the saying that "When it rains... It pours."

Matey, our thoughts are with you as are our best wishes for a speedy return to normalcy.

Merchant ships by AG124:

Cyclops Type Collier

Granville Type freighter

Nipiwan Park Type Tanker

Intermediate Tanker

All skins are subject to change without notice. More news when we get around to it.

These look amazing. Absolutely amazing!

As much as i would love for this to be out now...im good with the whole waiting thing. Your mods have already made vanilla SH3 into an incredible game to play. To say this will be icing on the cake i think will be a huge understatement.

One question though...can i machine gun the troops in the Higgins boat? lol.

P.S. Wasnt the Cyclops type the ship that went "Poof" in the Bermuda Triangle?

LOL, no there will be no new iceberg types... there are plenty now.

Can you machinegun the troops in the Higgins boats? No, but you can sink the boat.

Was the Cyclops lost in the Bermuda Triangle? Yes, in March 1918. The Cyclops collier vessel class included in GWX is based on it.

Fantastic!

Just too bad that Iambecomelife's MF mod won't be included in the final GWX.
