Question about editor.

Hello.

I have a question about the editor. When creating a new convoy, you have the option to add either, single ships or 2x or 3x of the same type. Whats the difference?

Example:3xMerchants or...

1.Merchant
2.Merchant
3.Merchant

As I said, is there some difference in the ships behavior. Thinking of escorts here. Is it better to have 3xDestroyers or add them seperately? Do they work as a team when i type 3xDestroyers?
