So whats next?
At this point I'm begining to wonder whats next? We have almost very thing to make SH3 fully real as a sim can get. The next step I see is that we'll have better AI, fully animated crew and hatches, all compartments from bow to stern, missions that allow the player to shot and destory shore targets, lifeboats, the ablity to capture enemy ships as prizes, and stop ships and search them. Ect, ect, ect. It may sound like a lot of nonscene it, but it might just happen. Some thought that a AI sub that can dive, surface, shoot torpedos and work in wolfpacks couldn't happen but it is.

Not a problem RB. Some one had posted something about it somewhere around here. But I hope someone can come up with the ablity to shoot at shore targets. Its no fun having an 88mm gun if all you can use it an just ships right?

Yeah,
why not have a realism mod where you could embody the Kaleun on a visit to the "Karbol Nüttchen". That would really top it up. :rotfl:

What about a fix for the food hanging from the ceiling. When you dive now, the food hangs in the way like you're surfacing.

Just a susgestion if anyone of you modders wants to try it ..... Make the harbor sounds more realistic so that people who have never been to the ocean or sea coasts can expericence the sounds ( too bad they won't be able to enjoy that awful stinch of rotting fish
![]() I live in Astoria Oregon which was a WW2 naval base / blimp ( all dis-banded now ) .. everytime I go to town I hear those irritating sea lions barking , plus see them laying on some of the docks and break water rocks ............ so ... sea lions ( I think maybe common world wide ? ) candian geese sqawking ( or other geese ) an occansional duck quacking Turns ( similiar bird as a sea gull but a softer ' peep ' noise ) plus other sounds such as arc welding , sawing , drilling ect. going on especially around the fishing boats ( they still fished even during the war of course ) ...... anyways ....... probably not easy to implemplent the actual animals or birds but maybe just the sounds would be nice ... if possible ............... |

IF you manage to make the land units damageable you may well need to fix the camera bounce bug attached to land units too
Twas ok in the Ubi original release but got broke by the 1.4b patch As a result of said bug GWX land units wont be spotted by the crew so you cant lock scope or shoot at as are classified different Nothing worse than going next unit view in port to see the traffic then coming to a land unit and the camera goes all out of kilter |

Land targets sounds like a cool idea. One thing I rather enjoyed in SH4 was going to Wake and seeing a couple seaplanes floating there. Any chance we might see that somewhere? Maybe one here or there out at sea, you could say they landed to rescue some sailors. Past that, I want to see what comes out with GWX 1.04 and Uboat 1.2 before I think of anything else.
