So whats your favorite Aircraft?
as I,m a Combat flight simmer I say my favorite is the ''Lavochkin'' Russian Fighter the Variants LA-5 & LA-7. good speed, turning doesnt really affect the speed and has good firepower the only thing I dont like is that when I exceed the speed limit (600 Km/h) my plane will fall apart. picture: LA-5: ![]() LA-7: ![]() they look good too ![]()

Fave Aircraft?
That's easy, Douglas DC-3. Lots come close, but the DC-3 has it all for me, innovative, ubiquitous, beautifully photogenic, reliable, easy to fly, versatile - has been a combat aircraft too in several wars and it's built like a tank. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, the DC-3 was even copied practically down to the last rivet by the Russians as the Li-2. Even though it's now 70 years old as a design, many are still flying and it is still a viable means of transport. Lots of aircraft get called flying legends, but the DC-3 really is one - legendary, and still flying on a daily basis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_DC-3 ![]() |

I quite like the DH Vampire.
My old RAAF Reserves unit had one (A79-808) which I would jump into at least once a week (it was display only - didn't fly and needed a bit of restoration). IIRC it's now in storage in Wales. ![]() |

Actually, I agree on the DC-3. It added tremendously to so many adventure movies, and there was/is a very atmospheric FS-model by Roy Chaffin around.
