Default You know you are addicted to SH4 when...

To start of this thread here is my first experience that has led me to believe that I am an SH4 Addict....

I am sat in my office / study, pretending to read for an approaching law school exam, (when really I am reading the latest threads here to get as many useful tips from other skippers that I can). Anyway it is hot here and i have the window open to allow what little breeze there is into the room to cool me down. My upstairs neighbor recently purchased a wind chime and it sounded so much like the pinging of the Japanese navy that I was wondering where the hell they came from and how I had missed spotting them before I remembered that I wasn't even playing the game!
What a fool

When you're looking at the sun and thinking 'Hey, the sun glare works!'

Not with SH4, but I tend to be very suspicious of movement behind windows after a lanparty with loads of Red Orchestra.

When you use almost all the stocks of print paper at your work in order to print extracts of threads, guides and trainings.

When, instead of doing your usual job properly (in my case programmer), you try to invent new methods to find the AOB of your targets easily.

Oddly enough I was quite drunk and headed back to Pearl last night. I stepped outside for a smoke.

I glanced over my shoulder and saw "starshells" er maybe it was the just the streetlight through my neighbors tree.

I have been at it most of today. Woke up late and wanted to see what targets I can sink. I ran into a small convoy consisting of 3 Shiratsuya Destroyers, 1 large passenger ship and a medium passenger ship. All ships sunk. Now I am in the bismark sea waiting for a large convoy but I am not sure how to take them down.

You know you've been playing SHIV too long when the sun goes down and you turn all the lights off in the room and exchange the lightbulb on the lamp on your desk for a red bulb so your eyes become accustomed to the dark.

...you play the game so much that your wife starts playing her own career and begins reading your WW2 sub book collection. And then she says that we need a better graphics card. What did I start???

Worry when she stops shaving her legs 'cause she wants to be "in the mood"... then you should probably start worrying.

I was walking along the seawall near my house with my wife and this seabird with a long neck poped out of the water and looked around. For a second it looked like a periscope, not a full sized one, but like a kid was playing around with something.

The wife however immediately picked up on the look on my face and said "you play that game too damn much!"
