Promotions and Medals

I have seen the information for medals elsewhere in these forums, but I have never seen what is needed for a promotion. Whats the deal here?

Ive picked up all the medals, cept the badge and clasp because it was early war, had the golden oak leaves, swords, diamonds, but where would my promotion be?

Promotions are based on renown points. I think it is 10,000 to KL?
