I've been following this story for the last year. I grew up on the Naval Air Station on Adak, about a days boat travel west of Kiska... They just completed the second round of sonar scans and are in the process of verifying it is indeed the Grunion. Frankly, I don't know what else it could be given the history of warfare in the area...
