Default Aircraft Carrier Truman

The following picture is off Jacksonville FL. One of my team A&E (ammo and explosive) trucks took this picture. Their son serves on the Truman. She was able to capture the lighting strike as it happened. One in a million shot for sure. Enjoy!

Very fortuitous, great photo. If someone was trying to take a picture of a lightning strike on purpose, it's easy to do: just leave your shutter open until the strike and then close it. The shutter there was only open for 1/8 second so the person was either very lucky or used some other wizardry. Thanks for posting AVG.

They launched one of those rockets with a copper cable attached.

Did it land on the Carrier or somewhere behind it? Quick, somebody find a plane nicknamed Lightning make a joke out of it.

Looks like an UFO trying to zap the carrier with a lightning bolt. The dirty grey men are at it again...

Who's 'he'?

Edit: I found it; The doctrine was written by Harlan K. Ullman and James P. Wade and is a product of the National Defense University of the United States in 1996.

Wrong! He may have used the term but I don't believe he stated it was a strategy or tactic.

You can of course show me otherwise.

Was it Rumsfeld? I'm not really sure. Thats right it was G Bush who said Mission accomplished or was that someone else? Whatever the case, I believe Bush to be standing around when this was thrown out on the media circus.

What an awesome photo! Do you have a large resoultion version that might be used as wallpaper? If so, would you mind sharing it? I'd love to have that as my wallpaper!

Please stay on topic: 'shock and awe'.

As a moderator you should know changing the quote is out of bounds.

Well sir, you have changed you original post for "wrong you can show me otherwise" to
Quote:
He may have used the term but I don't believe he stated it was a strategy or tactic.
Therefore, he may have stated this but I did not claim it was for strategy or tactic. You somehow read this into my statement of "This is what he ment by shock and awe." Apparently you did know who 'he' was or am I wrong on this account? At any rate, I'm not quite certain what you are getting at from a joking statement I posted relating to shock and awe.
