U-101 heading back to St.Nazaire Jan 4th 1941...having just expended all my torpedoes on a British S-class submarine that dared to operate about 50km from my base. Needless to say he evaded every one I fired at him (also my deck gun was removed after last patrol due to lack of use...coulda done with it here!).

So I made a contact report and half an hour later after shadowing the sub a flight of Stuka's showed up and sank him. Fat Boy Goering's boys got it right for once!

Took ages for the sub to sink so I decided to go back to port, no renown but the girls at the "establissment" will make up for that...

There was an American Clemson class DD there and also an American Larger tanker, Now im drinking some nice French Wine in my personal chateau outside of St. Nazaire. O yeah i saw a large ice berg at the bottom of AE83, its June 7th 1941.

U-24, IID, at sea during her 17´th patrol in The Black Sea.
It´s now mid June -44 and The Crimean is lost to the Russians and the Red Army is knocking on Romania's borders. One of these days we will be met by Russian soldiers when we get back to Konstanza:hmm:

November '39 - U-46 about 150kms off the coast of northern Spain and entering the Bay of Biscay after patrolling BE99. Expended 12 torpedoes for a mere 18,000 GRT. Plenty of lone merchants, but mainly small fry. Intend to plot a course through the bay heading in a northerly direction in the hope of encountering some more French merchants then home to Wilhelmshaven.

U-51 is currently bashing its way through horrid seas in the vicinity of BF17, having just celebrated New Year's Day 1940 by sinking a neutral Norwegian tramp steamer Drove right through a convoy in the middle of this stinking mess, sound contacts all around but couldn't see a doggone thing for the rain and fog and waves. Finally spotted something, took a snap shot and down goes Lars .... On a positive note, my watch crew is setting new breath-holding records every day ...
