Default Silent Hunter 3 + GWX + Vista 64

Yes I know vista sucks, but I wanted to play Company of Hereos with Direct X 10, so I installed Vista 64. So how do I get SH3 to work under Vista 64, I read the main thread - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ighlight=Vista but that didin't help..when I run the crapforce update, it says no drivers installed...I've done the usual stuff like run as admin and run as Win XP, but aloss it didn't work. Any help will be great other wise I guess I'll be playing SH4 and COH instead...no more GWX...

Sorry but that thread is the best advice on running SHIII with Vista. Hopefully someone who knows abit more about it may be able to assist.

Well if that's the case, well I guess I had a good gun with SH3+GWX...perhaps the next time I redo my computer I'll do a dual boot. Thanks for the replys!

I'm running vista x32, not x64 but when I got this laptop I copied my SH3 folder over from my XP machine... including GWX and the... unmentionable 3rd partry patch. Worked perfectly.

So, that may be worth a crack for you. Copy a working, de-starforced install over from a working XP installation. I know SH3 CAN run on vista x64, I see no reason why this wouldn't work.

HTH
