Well, I just recently got Silent Hunter 4, and also, I built a new PC. SH4 runs beautifully on max settings and 1280x1024x75 resolution. Theres only a couple issues I notice and it's either the drivers or the games compatibility with my video card in general. I notice when looking out at ships or land, it gets really stuttery, but, it's not frame lag at all. I loaded up fraps (note: I have vertical sync ON), and to my surprise, even when its stuttering, I'm gettin' 60-65FPS. My framerates max out at 75 (because of the vertical sync, with it off I can get higher but I notice a lot of tearing) when inside the sub constant. This also happens when looking right at my sub from external view, some stuttering yet my frames are still 60-65FPS or higher. I also notice around my sub and other ships, white lines around the edges when looking at the parts under water, basically like a white "tracing" around the waterline of any ship.
It must be driver or game support, because my system obviously has no problems running it.
