When and where is the type IID avaliable?

The comunity manuel says its in game but does not say where or when? Is it only avaliable in Keil? and if so when? i am in feb of 40 the ingame graphics shows it avaliabel early 40 but its not there yet.

I definitely got it in Kiel '39-'40 but I think I also had the option to get it in Wilhelmshaven too. I did not use the "realistic availability dates for u-boats" from SH3 Commander though.
So if you are using SH3 Comm. perhaps it's a issue with that ? But the IID should be available at the very beginning of your campaing.

You should be able to get it in 39.

It is not avaliable at eather base in feb fo 40
maybe i should disable SH3 commander it seams to cause a lot of issues with the game.

I'm in 1. Flottille in Wilhelmshaven, and I have the IID, early 1940. I think we're supposed to be in Kiel, but this is standard SH3.

Yes. Either that or RTFM.

In other words, most "issues" are usually in effect players not understanding features because they haven't read the help file, or FAQ, either correctly or even at all.

Anyway, your problem is most likely caused by one of three things:

1. You are not in 1 Flotilla
2. You selected the "Use historic u-boat availability dates" option in SH3Cmdr WITHOUT reading the Help file first to understand what impact this option has.
3. You have some mod installed that adjusts the IID start date (for example RUb - so I guess any mod based on RUb - changes it to Sep 1940. In stock SH3 and GWX it is Oct 1939. Dunno about any other mod).

Close. There's a handy table in the SH3Cmdr Help file that lists when and where you get what when you have the "Use historic u-boat availability dates" option selected.

Note that with this option UNselected, SH3Cmdr will use whatever details are already in SH3, which may differ to the community manual depending on what mods you have installed (as I stated above).
