Default Some Questions

Just got this Sim, trying to find the Mission Editor, the Readme file says:

"3.5.1 Playing Newly Created Missions
You can create new missions using the mission editor included on the game DVD.
To play a newly created single mission in Silent Hunter 4, save your mission file using this path: "Game Folder\data\SingleMissions". "

Well, can't seem to find the mission editor on the DVD, is it really there, or am I blind?

I've played,or attempted to play a Single Patrol (in the Manual) or War Patrol in the Sim, the first one; Hunt for Wounded Bear, tried to activate the radar, to see what my radar man said, "Ship long-range bearing 320 degrees". Went to the radar station, couldn't activate it at all, left-clicked/right-clicked, the turn-radar on button is greyed-out. Does radar work in this Sim. Got a CTD when zooming-in on a ship with my camera.

I don't know, seems like there's a lot of work left on this Sim, can anyone confirm my problems, no mission editor and no working radar (at least in that mission that I attempted to play).

You might direct your Mission Editor questions to the Mission Editor forum here:

Default Where's the Radar?

Thanks for the response Nefarious, maybe someone can inform me how to activate the radar station, in the Single Mission/War Patrol, Hunt for Wounded Bear, I get a message from I assume my radarman, saying there's a contact at long range. I then go to the radar station, but it's blank, the on/off switch doesn't work, the button to activate the station is greyed-out. What's the problem, does the radar function in the Sim or is it just screwed-up in this War Patrol?

1st, to find the editor, look in your SH4 folder for "Sh4MissionEditor.exe"
I haven't played that mission, but there is a problem with the "air" radar showing ships which it's not supposed to and is supposed to be fixed in the 1.2 patch. I have that radar in the campaign, and no you can't control it. I'm not sure if it's a bug or I need to upgrade to the surface radar to be able to control it.
