1)Premature detonation-Magnetic and Contact.
2)Torps running deeper than set-Magnetic and Contact. 3)Low order explosion when the primer goes off and doesn't set the torpex off-Contact. 4)Torpedo goes in a direction other than the one it was set for-Magnetic and Contact 5)Torpedo hits target and fails to go off-Contact 6)torpedo runs under target and fails to go off-Magnetic 7)Torpedo does a circular run-Magnetic and Contact. So if you fire a MkIV Torp and it does one of these things(except 3 which I don't think is modeled in the game),it's just the game recreating the wonderful world of MkIV Torps and not a bug. Even if you turn dud torps off,the devs said you will still get the occasional dud just to keep things interesting as it were. I think the MKIV came with a few other exciting "features" but I can't recollect them at the moment. |
