Enviorment Effects

Is it just me or am I the only one that doesn't like the transparent water and new fog effects? Fog is ok but it makes my men look like ghosts and if there are a few ships around it can start to slow down. And the water thing is cool but the pacific isn't THAT clear, it seems really fake to me. What happens to my frame rates when the devs add higher resolutions and AA and I have those effects turned on? Also the ocean is way to bright blue and foaming like crazy in rough waters, It looks really ugly and fake. Sorry for my rant! I do really, really love this game and I am a devoted Sub Commander and I have been for years. (well when i'm at my computer anyways)
