Default Questions about preorder delays

Hello all,

A buddy of mine and me preordered the game through Amazon.com about 3 weeks prior to March 20th. We even paid for the overnight shipping and now Amazon is giving us a ship estimate of March 28th.

Is anyone else in the US having this issue with Amazon?

Also has the Ubi Store for the US already shipped all their preorders?

I'm trying to determine if it should cancel my order with Amazon and place an order at the Ubi store. I just don't know what will be quicker.

Amazon.com currently has a shipping estimate of 4-6 weeks on new orders of the game.

Default Same situation

I pre ordered in Feb, and paid for overnight shipping. I checked amazon this morning and found the ship date is now march 29th. I'm considering cancelling the order as well. Going to spend part of the day today trying to find it elswhere.

From the Ubi US website:
Silent Hunter:Wolves of the Pacific Released!

I would probably ****can that amazon order. Amazon has went down the tubes the past few years with thier "partner" strategy.

I pre-ordered from store.ubi.com about 3 weeks ago. I checked my order Tues and it said shipped and has a FedEx tracking number. Checked FedEx's site and it says expected delivery day is today. It seems UBI has a dist. point in Indiana. That's the origin of shipping.

My wife is home today so you can't snag it off my doorstep, but then again she might hide it from me. "No hon, there wasn't anything delivered today."

I kind of lost my patience with Amazon's pre-order page.

I wish I could do that dude but I'm in Costa Rica (Central America) so my shopping is limited to online stores. I have a forwarding service from DHL that gives me a physical address in Miami since a lot of online stores don't ship global. Once it gets here i might even need to pay a 13% customs tax for the game.

There are of course gaming stores down here but I probably won't see the game at one of them for at least a month, if not more.

I just got the following from Amazon:

Shipment #1: Not Yet Shipped
Shipping estimate: April 3, 2007 - April 10, 2007
Delivery estimate: April 5, 2007 - April 14, 2007
Items Ordered
1 of: Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific [CD] [CD-ROM]
By: Windows (Primary Contributor)

Just yesterday i checked my order status and it estimated delivery this week. I'm pretty pissed off, and I think i will cancel my order and just go to the mall.

TG

P.S. to be fair, this is the first time I've ever had a problem with Amazon.

Ouch, I feel you. I'm overseas in Japan and if it wasn't for that I would never bother with e-tailers. One thing worth a shot is the Download version which I believe Ubi is using Direct2Drive to host. However, it is still not available for download of this moment but should be sometime today. Thats what I'm waiting for.

Default Here is the Scoop

I just got off the phone from Amazon.com. They under-estimated the number of games that they ordered. They will not get another shipment until the 28th or 29th of March. I cancelled my order with them. I went to the Ubisoft website and placed the order. It is being fed-exed overnight. Cancel Amazon if you dont want to wait!

Good Hunting, my fellow Captains!

Well I just followed your advice and cancelled at Amazon and reordered with Ubisoft.

I was just really looking forward to having the game delivered by this weekend but it seems like this may not happen as its gotta ship to Miami and then to Costa Rica.
