Another NOOB question

Thanks for your help on my last question....

I know this is cheating ... but does anyone know how to make the deck gun work in bad weather ??? btw thats on the reg verson of sh3 no mods..

Yep, but you do have to have the official 1.4b patch installed. Then you can go into the 'Submarine' files and change the 'StormConditions' settings.

Someone who can be more specific will be along presently; never fear.

Go into C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Submarine and find your boat.
VIIB is NSS_Uboat7b for example.
Find this line; StormConditions=
Change it to;
StormConditions=11,0.8;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]
or
StormConditions=14,0.9;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]

There is a bad weather mod, but its value is 99 I think. The above values at least offer some flexability.

very true. if my captain told me to man a deck gun in 15ms winds with waves as high as houses i know what id say to him
